Obsidian Electronics was founded by Curtis McBride, in 2006 as a locally based Dallas Texas computer service group.

The company was always structured for coverage of the Dallas - Fort Worth area and initiated an expansion into Dallas within the first 18 months of business. Obsidian Electronics now operates in in the South Dallas area and maintains 3 technicians, network administrators and helpdesk service managers providing service to small businesses and residential customers in the Dallas area . The company's record of service is unmatched in the computer service industry gaining praise from homeowners and small businesses alike.

Curtis' inspiration for Obsidian came from his own personal experience operating a successful home based Internet business. When his computer broke down, it was the lifeblood of his business. He  was living in Dallas Texas at the time and his only available option was to carry his desktop machine on a bus to a service center. The experience proved to be not only time consuming but costly. He vowed that there had to be a better way to provide computer service. Curtis conceived of Obsidian as a people friendly and professional quality computer repair service delivering fast, quality technical support to every corner of the Metroplex. That dream has become a reality and has expanded beyond its initial vision. Obsidian not only provides onsite support, but helpdesk assistance, and even IT Managed Subscription Services for Small Businesses and Outsourced Project Management services to enterprises throughout the Dallas area.
Even without promotion, Curtis' entrepreneurial success story has already been profiled by publications who have discovered his rise.

Curtis is very proud to say that he operated Obsidian as a home based business during its incubation and considers Dallas his founding home base. He is grateful for all the support given to him in the Dallas IT and business community and highly recommends it as a place to find professionally talented, creative and supportive people to work with.
